Functional Art Piece (1/1): Afterimage – Echo Rendering Console
Housed in a vintage briefcase audiometer, Afterimage is can function as a standalone boost, overdrive, delay, or spring reverb (with a real reverb tank!) — or any combination of these.
Controls
Volume (Output): Enough output on tap to serve as a boost
EQ (Mood): Global tone control for the output
Delay Mix (Replication Level): Adjusts the amount of lo-fi delay in the mix
Delay Time (Replication Time): Sets the delay time
Repeats (Quantity): Controls the number of delay repeats
Fidelity: Stretches delay time beyond normal limits, introducing noise and artifacts
Reverb Mix (Reverberation Level): Controls the level of spring reverb in the mix
Gain (Spring Drive): Adds amp-like drive to the reverb tank
Global Gain Toggle: Selects whether gain affects only the wet reverb signal or the entire input — transforming the unit into a loud, gnarly overdrive
As a bonus, the unit can generate its own signal, perfect for dark, ominous textures and experimental noise. Hit it to hear the reverb tank ring out and come alive.
A conversation piece that covers a wide range of sounds — from atmospheric ambience to gritty chaos.
